Our week was full of Halloween activities and fun. First we met Jill and Kendall at Molbaks for the Halloween display and great photo opp.

The cute Pink Cowgirl and our scary little Shark.

Ready to sing in Cirle-Time with mom.

Listening to Teacher Debbie's pumpkin song.

Jill and her little Cowgirl.

Our next fun activity was having the Kruses, Leptichs and Tamayos over for a Halloween brunch. Here the kids are playing with Halloween stickers and play-dough.

The shark and Hayden the Dragon.

Another photo opp of Hayden the Dragon, Oliver the Shark, itty bitty Layla Tamayo the Sweet Pea, Gavin the Fireman and Tinkerbelle Avery.

The boys checking out their new little friend.

And on Halloween morning, we went to Trick-or-Treat (and brunch) at the Swantek's house. Here is Oliver and his trusty companion Super-Dog Buddy.

And now for the real event....Trick-or-Treating, Halloween night. First stop, Molly and Marks with a special treat for O.

Showing off his scary shark teeth.

The family taking a break at Grami and Grandpas house.

We found Fire-fighter Nathan to join us on our neighborhood rounds.

WOW! Oliver has NEVER seen this much candy in his life! He was one happy camper tonight!

Grammy Pammy showing off the Cookie Monster costume. Oliver thought she was SO silly.

And to end the night, we met up with both Kruse families who were also very decked out for the Kirkland neighborhood Halloween bonfire party.

And Oliver finished the night telling us that next year he wants to dress up as Superman or a Jaguar (we think it is Diego the cartoon charachter's pet Jaguar). Stay tuned for next year!

Touchdown for Tots 2010

On October 3rd the guild that I am in, called The Daughter's Guild which raises money for Children's Hospital, put on our fourth annual Touchdown for Tots Auction. This year we held the event at the Don James Center at UW and raised over $19,000! This greatly surpassed our $12,000 goal. Here are a couple of photos from the event. We are looking forward to next year and hope to see you all there!

Our wonderful group of Daughter's Guild ladies.

Our huge crowd!! Yipee!

I ended up as the auctioneer for our live auction....out of my comfort zone, but helped to raise more money for the kiddos, so it was worth it!

Happy Anniversary

October 26th was our 8th Anniversary. We had a special dinner at the Space Needle, which is where we had our rehearsal dinner. It was a LITTLE bit windy out on the observation deck.

I have an idea...

This morning Oliver had school. This afternoon he rode his bike around the block. This evening right before bedtime - Oliver proclaimed:

"I have an idea...someday I want to ride my bike to school"

Sounds good to me...better start training...Brett - any tips?

Pumpkin carving on Sunday

So the first thing we learned was that carving pumpkins is definitely not an activity for a toddler. But Oliver was super helpful in cleaning the pumpkins, telling us what shape the eyes and noses should be, how big of smile, and how many teeth each pumpkin should have. He also did a very good job of collecting pumpkin seeds to cook and eat...oh and he ate them all as well!

Helping dad clean one of the pumpkins.

Here Oliver is trying to copy the face of the big pumpkin

Now it copy cat with the little pumpkin

The finished products on the doorstep with candals glowing!

Huskies 35 vs Beavers 34

This past Saturday the fellas connected up for some tailgating and the Husky game...a victorious one at that - the Huskies won in double overtime 35-34...what an exciting game!

The team celebrating on the field after the game! Go Dawgs!

Pumpkin Patch 2010

This weekend we went with the Leptich and Kruse family to the Pumpkin Patch. It was a beautiful day and luckily we were there right when they opened before all the crowds.

Here is Oliver searching for the perfect pumpkin.

Gavin, Hayden, and Oliver guarding the wheelbarrow

The York family happened to be there as well. A little Aaron and Oliver teamwork to move the pumpkins

We also jumped on the tractor hay ride around the farm. Here is Avery having fun on the ride.

Hayden was listening intently to the farmer as he was talking about the different crops.

Oliver was having fun bouncing over the bumps on the hay ride

Finally, you can't visit the pumpkin patch without a family photo!
