Fun with Friends

Some recent photos from the phone of fun with friends:

Here is video Oliver and Hayden having lunch after a day at the science center. I probably should stop setting such a great example of being a ham.

The dynamic duo of Oliver and Hayden driving the fire truck and the science center

The Kruses and O pretending to eat at the fake Taco Time

The boys watching the fire dance

The boys watching the train go around the tree

Oliver and Zachary playing in the ball pit

So these next three pictures all have one thing in common - Ice Cream or pretend Ice Cream. Above - Oliver is digging in...I'd say a bit aggressively.

Here he is at the science center carrying three empty pints of ice cream to the pretend supermarket.

And while playing on the slide with Maria...he's carrying his wooden chocolate cone.

Oliver and Kendall play high five through the tent window.

Oliver and Xavier (we watch a friends fish for a few days) - what fun for Oliver. All he wanted to do was feed it and pet it. We kept Xavier out of reach.

Finally, over the long weekend I hooked up with some buddies that go as far back and Jr High - Peilun, Darren, and Billy.

Going on a tree hunt

This past weekend we met the Leptich family out at a tree farm in Issaquah to find the perfect Christmas Tree.
Gavin and Oliver getting ready for the challenge of finding some great trees!
Oliver covering some ground...but still hasn't found the one.
Finally we find it! Here it is behind us. Now it's in the living room covered in lights and ornaments.
Oliver managing the cutting process...here, no here, no here daddy.

Now he's taking all the credit!

Snowy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! This year was a very memorable, thanks to the nice blanket of snow that held from the Monday storm. The pics are a little backwards here: Thanksgiving Dinner was at Grammi and Grandpa's house with Grandma Joan, and friends the Bucks and neighbors, the Workings.

Here is Oliver and his good example (for once!) Mark Working.

And always a good example, here is Barbara Buck reading The Snowy Day to Oliver.

The weekend before Thanksgiving we had a great adult evening, then kid morning, get-together with the High School crowd. We got to meet Macs Wyatt- oops, no pictures! Here are the toddlers bruching at their own little table.

Now for the fun snow pics! Olive taking a sled ride with mommy pulling.

Crazy Oliver decided he must try out the bike in the snow. Actually, he did pretty good!

Snow on the nose!
Shuffling on his itty bitty skis!

Snow before Thanksgiving

It started snowing yesterday while we were having lunch. We pointed it out to Oliver and asked what was falling from the sky.
Oliver exclaimed "Pixie Dust!"

Yeah, we've been reading Peter Pan a bit lately...

Nap time and the toilet

Today Oliver woke up after a short nap and told Grammy that he needed to poop...they made it to the potty in time...he's starting to catch onto this whole thing.

Casper, Gwen, Nathan, Fall, Biking - all fun!

Last weekend with joined Billy, Tanya, and Gwen at the Kent Library to see Casper Babypants rock the house! It was a great concert blending his top hits with some great new releases.

Here are Oliver and Gwen ready to start...Run, Run, Run

Oh yeah, too much crazy movement to get a great shot...

Casper playing the last note in the show!

A little video of the dancing and music

As the previous posts have mentioned - Oliver and Nathan were hanging out a lot while Nathan was in town. I found this photo on my phone and thought I'd share it...a couple of kids looking out on a rainy day wishing for sun.

We have had some great clear fall days and when the sun comes out - we go outside. Oliver still loves to do yard work so above he's helping dad rake the leaves in the front yard. Below is some biking...notice that hes starting to lift his feet and glide.
