For Oliver's 1st Birthday, Uncle Steve and Aunt Rachel gave him a sandbox and sand to play in. Since we had a lot of great weather in March, Oliver spent a lot of time in his sandbox. Now the trick is keeping the sand in the box.

Whistler Weekend
Last weekend we headed North up to Whistler for a little post-Olympic fun in the snow and skiing with the Swanteks and the Yorks. We also got to spend some time with friends, Allison and Ben Wright.

Oliver was totally digging the snow!

Happy Camper!

Another group of happy campers. We hired a lovely Irish babysitter for a night out on the town with the Yorks, Swanteks and Wrights.

A few weeks ago we headed to the zoo with Kendall and her family.

The super cool penguin exhibit.

Groovin in Whistler
Below is a quick little video shot by the phone this past weekend in Whistler. Oliver was the hit at the Dubh Linn Gate Old Irish Pub - yes, they allow kids in there (we didn't have a fake ID for him). He started groovin to the band. You should have seen him when the band really got going...Oliver made everyone in the bar smile that day. We will post more pictures soon from this fun trip up north...

1st Annual Polar Bear Golf Tourney
Hank and I planned the First Annual Polar Bear Golf Tourney to raise money for Children's Hospital this past fall and early spring. It was originally scheduled for December 12th, 2009...but it was so cold that the courses in Seattle were closed due to frozen ground. Thus we rescheduled for the end of February 2010 and had a terrific (warmer) day on the course. We ended up with 14 teams out on the course that day and raised over $3,000 for Children's Hospital. The winning team took home the Arc'teryx Jackets grand prize shooting a 59 in the scramble. Keep your eyes and ears open for the 2nd Annual Polar Bear Tourney!
(This post is a bit outdated...but oh well)

Here are Kelly and Chelsey at the tourney check in.

The lineup of carts ready to roll in the February sunshine.

The final scores - 59 for the winning team captained by Joe Corr.

Thanks to our sponsors that helped make this happen - especially GORE-TEX!

Greenlake and other photos
Today, the fam made a trip over to Greenlake. It was a beautiful day and we took Oliver's tricycle over with us for a trip around the lake...or maybe a trip around 1/10th of the lake.
With the biking and time on the play toy - it was quite a morning. Didn't take long for Oliver to look like this in the car on the ride home.
Random photo...Bogey, how did you put those slippers on?
Here is Oliver behind the wheel of the Peterbilt truck at the Children's Museum in Factoria...
Luckily we have a few more years before we have to start seeing this more often. Hopefully his feet will reach the pedals by then.
