Swanson's Nursery Holiday Visit

Here are a couple of photos from Oliver and my visit to Swanson's Nursery this past weekend. We dropped Kelly off at her office and took off to see the holiday festivities. There was a camel, some reindeer, a couple model trains, and a cool sled. Oliver is also sporting his cool new hat with style!

newest iPhone photos

I take photos on my phone and then after a while realize that there are some cools ones to share. Below are some experiences that have happened over the last few months...

Oliver chasing his buddy Hayden down the tube...

Hayden is a very fast crawler through the tubes but Oliver finally caught up to him and gave him a big hug!

Here is O helping out in the driveway pulling the broom up the hill. Since he wasn't letting go of the golf club - it made the yard work a bit more difficult.

Here we are a the park and Oliver is wearing the snoopy hat from way back!

Our neighbors across the street gave us this cool contraption that allows Oliver to stand up at the kitchen counter and help us...help us make a mess. He also loves to just climb on it - up, down, up, down, up, eat

We finish everyday with some brushing of the teeth

Thanksgiving / House Project Weekend!

We had a great...but not so relaxing (see below) long Thanksgiving weekend at home. Oliver got to partake in his first Thanksgiving dinner. He LOVED the sweet potatoes, pie and cranberry sauce (with just a little turkey).

Yum!

Oliver wearing Cousin Tanner's cool shoes.
Yes, they have the same hair-do!

Nicole and Grandpa relaxing before dinner.

Oliver's new horsey toy from Grandma....but he's playing with Helen in this photo.

Oliver is so happy that he has a stool to stand on and brush his teeth.

The next morning we had good intentions to go snow shoeing. Turns out it was raining at the pass, so instead.....

we met up with Kirsten, Mike and Tony DiCenso and Lindsay and Chris Droz to go pick out and cut down a Christmas Tree.

Our tree!

The train was Oliver's favorite part!

Ready to cut down.
Oliver helping Daddy hold the tree.

That tree has legs!

What a mess! Oliver helping untangle the lights.

And now decorating.

Almost done!

And after all that fun.....
We began the house projects.

here is the family room fireplace- post demo. Stay tuned for the new look next week!
And we went ahead and painted the living room/dining room/hallway and entry way too!
Whew!!! What a weekend!

Getting ready for the holidays

Kelly, Oliver, Grandma Joan, and I visited Molbak's this past weekend to grab a few things and get some of the holiday spirit juices flowing. They had a very cool stuffed animal farm set up so Oliver had to ride all the different animals. Here he is trying to hang onto the pony.

Stats

We had Oliver's 15 month check up last week. Here are his statistics:

Height - 90%
Head Size - 90%
Weight - 50%

Things he's doings: Running, swinging a pretend baseball bat, swinging his golf clubs in the house and pushing the ball around, he's running, jumping, giggling, saying OOOOOO when he sees something he likes. He will sign to us more, thank you, please, all done, and poo poo. He loves to open all drawers and can unscrew caps. As you've seen from a previous post, Oliver loves to climb. He much prefers going up a slide than down. He loves his blankets and stuffed animals when sleeping. He loves to color with crayons but doesn't care if he's coloring the paper or the table or the wall or the floor. He played his first few notes on the harmonica yesterday! He enjoying laying down on his belly in the tub with his head up and pretending to swim by kicking his feet and reaching and pulling with his hands. He still doesn't have the blowing of the bubbles down, but he's not afraid to put his head under the water - it just means he comes up with a mouth full of it. He laughs and smiles a lot. He is really good at making truck noises. He loves to read. His current favorite books are: The Train Book, The Truck Book, Mother Goose, and Farm Stories. He really likes to get into the large Tonka truck and be pushed around the house...although we did have a crash the other day and after a minute or two of crying, I set him down and he walked back over to the truck and climbed back in for more torture. Did I mention that he laughs and smiles a lot.

Happy Halloween!

Here are a few (ok- a TON) of picture from our busy Halloween. We started our at Great-Grandpa Dan's Retirement home for lunch and Halloween Party.
Oliver is dressed up as a golfer and Mike is his caddy.

Oliver LOVED carrying his golf club around all day.

Taking a break for some lunch.

Unfortunately, this picture has a shadow- but it is SO cute with Oliver and Great Grandpa Dan.

Oliver found a little buddy- an astronaut- at the Halloween Party.

The family....Kelly, where is your argyle??

Wylie, the kitty cat, soon joined us for some trick-or-treating in Wallingford.

Oliver is getting the hang of things!

Back at the Swanteks, Aaron, the Hedgehog, and Oliver are hanging with their dads.

And, back in Kirkland we found the little Bumblebee, Kendall. What a cutie!

Nicole, the Prom-Queen, came over to see Mr. Oliver.
