Ewe-topia ~ Opening Day ~ Painting ~ Kelsey Creek ~

Here are several pictures from our latest adventures with Oliver.

"Faster Daddy! Higher Daddy!" I think we have a dare-devil on our hands.

On Sunday, we found a little bit of sunshine and took advantage of it by going to Kelsey Creek in Bellevue to check out the farm animals.

Oliver and Daddy wearing their hats.

Petting the pony. Don't worry we cleaned his hands!

Oliver getting very excited to be so close to a big horse.
On Saturday- we spent the day outside in the rain cheering for Uncle Steve's crew team at Opening Day at the Montlake Cut. Go Beavs!

Oliver is sporting his orange and black.

Oliver lounging with Nancy (in the pink shirt).

Go Beavs!

More silly face food pics.

Last week Oliver and I had a wonderful time playing with finger paints. He is quite the picasso!

As you can see- his best canvas was his little body.

Last weekend we put up the baby gate at the stairs.

Just in time!

Also last weekend, we had a CRAZY adventure to the Ewe-topia Sheep Hearding Ranch in Roy, WA.

Here is Lindsay and little Oliver getting ready for the big day.

Here is Buddy Swantek showing those sheep who is boss!

And there he is showing Scotty who is boss!

Bogey working on her hearding.

Now she's got the hang of it!

Little Pippi Thornton showing off her hearding skills. Don't mess with this little Boston.

I don't know if this is Kingston or Hank...I think it is Hank because he doesn't look like he's moving too fast.

Nancy trying to smooch Oliver.

All that hearding was exhausting. Oliver needed a snooze with Mom.

Kirkland Waterfront

We have been meaning to update the blog with photos from sheep herding, opening day, etc and we will get them up shortly, but here is a photo of Grandma Joan and Oliver on the Kirkland waterfront last night. What a beautiful day it was!

9 months and counting!

Mr. Oliver with his frog posing for his 9 month photos.

And he is trying to get away....don't worry- I have a tight grip on him!

And we had a very special guest staying at our house this week. Oliver is reading with Bogey and Buddy Swantek. They all got along just wonderfully.

For fun this weekend we met Mike Tamayo on Phinney ridge for a little Red Mill Burger and playtime at Woodland Park. Here is Oliver LOVING the ride on the swings.

Happy kiddo!

Tamayo playing superman with Oliver.

Little O playing peek-a-boo!

Another crazy Oliver face!

Oliver doesn't dig the bib....he likes the "cape" look much better. Not as effective for keeping his shirt clean however.
Oliver and Dad checking out the ducks at the Kirkland Marina. Uncle Steve says "Boo Ducks, Go Beavs!"

Bogey and Oliver helping mom and dad with the yard work on Sunday.

April Showers Bring...Madness...Oliver is crawling!

And he is off! Oliver is officially crawling!

He usually has a funky one kneed-one footed crawl...but he is definitely moving and shaking.

Oliver isn't sure what to make of his bunny pancake breakfast on Easter morning. He only got to eat the ears...but he was pretty excited about that!

The Easter Bunny brought Oliver his own Husky puppy, some bubbles and of course some chocolate for mom and dad.

Oliver also got to enjoy a fabulous Easter Dinner at Grandma's house. Note...the wine is definitely out of reach!
April also has brought the Browns, our good friends from Portland, their beautiful baby girl Ella....just a few weeks early. Congrats Haley and Tyler!
Here is proud pappa Tyler and tired little Ella.

We just had to share this rather vicious looking pic of Oliver at a PEPS (baby group) get together. Doesn't he look like he's going to be the bully? This is actually the face he makes when he gets really excited about something. Too funny!

And in another small miracle- we actually made it down to Crystal for a wonderful day of skiing and boarding with the Swanteks and friends. It was great to hit the slopes, but we can't wait for Oliver to join us!

A couple of weeks ago we made the trip down to Salt Lake City to visit our good friends the Johnson's. They have a little boy, Will, who is 6 months old.

Here are Will and Oliver getting to know each other!

And now they are good friends and hanging in the tub together. There were only a few eye pokes- but no one got hurt!

Oliver LOVES riding on mom and dad's shoulder. Here he is enjoying a little play time with mom.

Here is Will drinking from a cup for the first time. Cute pic!

The families of for a nice walk with the boys in packs.

Oliver and Will sporting their new Mariners jerseys. There must be something really interesting on Will's shoe.

Go M's!

Mike experiencing what it would be like with twins.

Adventure #1 with the kiddos was out to the oh-so-cool pool with a wave pool, slide and lots of water toys. Although they look a little shell-shocked here, both kids actually had a really fun time swimming.

Adventure #2: A hike up in the hills out side of SLC.
Here is Super-Oliver in he cool-kid sunglasses.

Ah- what a beautiful day for a hike!

Cody, Kira and Will ready to cruise up the hill.
Oliver and Will in their matching sunglasses....what cool kids!
