Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Finally, a blog update! Sorry for the lul in the blog activity. We have been a bit busy lately with the upcoming sale of our house! Yes, we got an offer (actually 2) a couple of weeks ago, accepted the offer with minor negotiation and we'll be ready to move to our new/old location in Kirkland right next to Grandma and Grandpa in the next few weeks.
Our new address is: 5223 111th Ave NE, Kirkland, WA 98033.

Backing up a few steps, here are some pics from our fabulous New Years Celebration with Gemma and Michael Tamayo, Brian Wendt, Tyler and Haley Brown, Brett, Shana and Hayden Kruse and Katy, Tom and Gavin Leptich (not in picture). Oh, and I can't forget about Ruby and Bogey!

The remaining pics are basically the Oliver and Hayden show:

In the bath!

Shana and her little Bear Hayden.

The boys- Brian, Brett with Hayden, Tyler and Mike with Oliver.

There were some means games of mahjong...I think Mike lost some of Oliver's college tuition to the Tamayos.

Here they are again- hanging in their diapers!

The little boys eating dinner together.

Kelly taking Oliver for a walk in the snow.

Oliver and Hayden both do their shopping at Costco.

Big Boy Food.....Avacado!

Oliver finally got to eat some "real" food a couple of days ago. He was very excited to try out some mushed up, slightly "watered" down avacado....aka guacamole.

Yes, we used the Magic Bullet (as-seen-on-TV) to mix up the avacado.

Here is Oliver at his high-chair seat all ready to go.

We had to let him enjoy the tactile part of the experience too- i.e. playing with his food.
Here's the first taste....he's a little tentative at first.

He's starting to get excited....

And now he's really having fun!

Delicious!

And then Kelly's watch became more exciting than the food, so he was done.
Unfortunately, all those extra calories didn't help him to sleep through the night yet!

Merry Christmas!

Oliver's First Christmas!

Oliver can't believe someone came down the chimney to fill up this extra-large sock.

After having time with mom and dad at home, we all headed over to Grandma Karen and Grandpa Jim's house for breakfast (blueberry french toast- for the ones with teeth). Uncle Steve and Aunt Rachel were there too. Check out all the snow in the back yard!

Oliver got to sit at the big table next to Grandma. He was afraid it might start to snow inside, so he had to keep on his new hat.

Uncle Steve and Oliver

Marli and Bogey were very excited for Christmas too!

Oliver sitting between Dad and Uncle Steve...he was all ready for some presents!

Of course Uncle Steve had to get Oliver a Oregon State T-shirt...

Go Beavs!!

Oliver very intently trying to open his pop-beads....Thanks Jonell and Bill!

Oliver and Grandpa, singing...or yelling....or just telling jokes!

Steve and Mike in their matching scarves from Helen. They make quite the couple ;)

Nice bib! Always the ladies man...

Oliver made Great Grandpa Dan a mug with his little hand prints on it.

Oliver hanging with Uncle Bill.

And after Christmas dinner and dessert comes the real fun! Yes, that is Grandma Karen playing the drums on the Wii Guitar Hero.
Someone get them a contract!

There is STILL SO MUCH snow!

This year we have be bombarded with the most snow we've ever had in this area (since we've been around). The total at our house was around 16"!!

Oliver got himself a new schoolie snow suite (note the fur collar) just to survive in all this snow!

Oliver and Dad huddling together in front of the house.

Oliver is chilling here with snowman #1.

And the family in front of the gigantic snowman #2!

Christmas with Mike's Family

We celebrated Christmas with Mike's Aunt Sheila, Uncle Dave and Mom (aka Grandma) Joan the Saturday before Christmas. It was wonderful to get us all together at the holidays!

Mike, Dave, Kelly, Sheila, Joan and Oliver

Grandma Joan is always making Oliver giggle!

Aunt Sheila got lots of time to hold little Oliver.

One of Oliver's favorite Christmas presents was the mini basketball from Dave and Sheila.

Looks like we got a little Husky ball player on our hands :)
